Talent demand dropped by 4 per cent during January 2017, as hiring activity slowed down across key sectors, reveals latest RecruiteX, the recruitment index by TimesJobs.

Legal, accounting, media and entertainment were the only sectors to post rise in demand during the month.

MUMBAI: A couple of months ago automaker Tata Motors outsourced its talent acquisition, barring CXO and top management hiring, to a leading recruitment process outsourcing company.

Trumped IT companies cut recruitments from B-schools

MUMBAI | NEW DELHI: Information technology companies, usually among the largest recruiters at B-school campuses, have slashed hiring this placement season due to factors such as US President Donald Trump's protectionist stance, muted growth numbers and increasing automation.

Tata Power appoints S Padmanabhan as chairman

MUMBAI: Tata Power Co has appointed S Padmanabhan as its chairman, in place of Cyrus Mistry who resigned last month.
